Alain Rossignol


Alain Rossignol brings 25 years of experience in the energy industry to Enerxia. He led several M&A projects in oil & gas exploration & production, in Africa, the Caspian Sea, South-East Asia, Australia and Europe (including integrated Production-to-LNG projects).

Alain held several top management positions in natural gas storage and E&P in Central Europe. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Nafta in Slovakia and as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MND in the Czech Republic. He conducted the major reorganization of Nafta, including staff restructuring, operational and financial optimization of the business structure.

For Gaz de France, for GDF SUEZ, Alain led negotiations on long-term contracts for the supply of natural gas and implemented a new business of natural gas origination in emerging markets. He developed commercial partnerships in Eastern and Central Europe including the creation of JVs with GAZPROM.

Alain has both an engineering and economic background; he graduated from IFP (French Petroleum Institute) in Economics and Corporate Management after having studied Mechanical Engineering at ENSEM in Nancy (France) and at Bath University (England). Alain speaks French, English, Russian and Slovak.

Joost Mees


Joost Mees has been holding a position of Managing Director of Enerxia in Luxembourg since October 2016.

He currently holds various independent board positions in unregulated Luxembourg entities. In April 2013 he founded, with three other partners, Exequtive Partners S.A., a boutique corporate services firm which combines experience and sophistication of a large firm with a personalised approach.

Previously, in 2007, he moved to Luxembourg and worked in several roles within TMF Luxembourg, amongst others, head of business development for the Benelux region.

Joost started His career in the financial services industry in Curacao, Netherlands Antilles in a legal and commercial role with ABN Amro Trust in September 2003.

Joost has a Masters degree in Dutch Corporate Law from Leiden University in the Netherlands.
